I'm going to try & not feature the same artists over & over on here however I couldn't resist putting this up - it's the 2nd single from the long awaited 3rd (and self titled) album from Birds of Tokyo. I got the chance to listen to this album with the band a few weeks ago at Studio 301 in Sydney and I was impressed by how lovely the guys were. They did a 6 track live set and then played the full mastered version for myself & a select group of 40 fans. It was also the first time that the band had listened to the finished product from start to finish.
This song, "Plans", is a great track but there's a few stronger tracks on the album & they would have been better releasing "Wild At Heart" as the 2nd single rather than this. Also, the filmclip is pretty boring - they've definitely lost the edge from the "Broken Bones/Shilouettic" clip but this is more marketable to a commercial audience.
Regardless, the new album is sounding tight, the vocals are mastered well and the whole album is the trademark BOT sound that we have all come to know & love, but a little tighter and definitely more mature.
Enjoy!
