Waldorf - You're My Disco

Ok, so I watched Party Monster again on the weekend, hence all of the electroclash that will be flooding you today.

This song, You're my Disco by Waldorf is probably one of my top 5 electroclash songs. When it was first released everyone seemed to think that it was a track by Fischerspooner (i'll talk about them later!) but it's actually by a group that no-one (myself included) seems to know a lot about. In fact, even googling them doesn't bring up a lot so if anyone has any info i'd be interested to know. From what I can tell this was their one & only release!

This song gets bagged a lot for being a very typical electro beat and not much else going on but for me the thing that makes it is the last 40 seconds where a robotic voice tells us "she died from an overdose". Serious subject matter but you can't help laughing at the voice saying it.
