Catcall - Swimming Pool (Julian Mendelsohn Extended Remix)

I love a really good extended remix, especially when it's something so melodic as Swimming Pool by Catcall.

Catcall, AKA Catherine Kelleher, is a 23 year old singer hailing from Sydney. She's a music veteran, having performed with DIY punk group Kiosk before venturing out and finding her path as a solo artist, working on melodic pop songs that make you want to dance. She's got a great voice, an amazing stage presence and with a new album in the works she's definitely going to be an artist you'll be hearing a lot about in the next 12 months.

This remix was done by Julian Mendelsohn who has also remixed for Pet Shop Boys, Frankie Goes to Hollywood and one of my all time favourite artists, Dusty Springfield. This mix is a prime example of why he is so in demand and so well known for what he does which is brilliant re-edits of songs that become classics. It's a long remix, but definitely worth a listen because the smooth lyrics and melodic vocals will suck in so much that you'll want to listen to the end!

Killer combo, wicked song & as a thank you to her fans Catcall has even offered up a free download! Check it out at http://swimmingpool.catcallmusic.com/

She's also doing a gig with Melbourne buzz band Alpine (formerly Swiss), Toni Toni Lee, Jimmy Sing & Count Doyle at GoodGod in Sydney this Saturday, well worth checking out!

Enjoy!
