This is about the only song that I can tolerate right now... Usually Kanye has a song for every mood but because he reminds me of someone that broke my heart I've been on the search for something else that can express how I'm feeling right now.

For the first time in a long time it felt like everything in life was going great. Then I got my heart broken by someone yesterday who is yet again confused by what they want... And who I stupidly let into my life wholeheartedly and accepted the flaws of, accepted had stuff to deal with & this still wasn't good enough.

I only ever seem to attract these types of guys in my life. The married & confused, using me as some kind of substitute for their issues. It's really not fair - I'm a nice, decent, fun person who gives so much to those around me to make them happy, so when do I get to be happy to? When do I get to feel loved?

Why do guys always say that it's so hard to find a good girl, when there is a good girl here, broken hearted again by someone who was too arrogant to spare my heart for their own selfish reasons? I just don't get it, and probably never will...

Perth has a habit of breeding awesome musicians, I'm not entirely sure why but they just write some absolutely classic songs.

This song by End of Fashion is from their last album which didn't do as well as it should have, it was a very catchy album but they took a massive writing it. I think it pays off in this song alone.

The XX - Infinity (Bachelors Of Science Drum n Bass Remix)

Drum n Bass. DnB. Delicious n Beaty.

I've decided that since there are so many wicked remixes of The XX out there that all this week I will be featuring my favourite ones. This little gem was done by a bunch of guys from San Francisco, Bachelors of Science.

BoS have been making waves in the DnB scene and listening to this remix you have to understand why. Their use of unusual samples, not normally heard in DnB tracks. It's a very ambient version of what this remix could potentially be but it's a great remix none the less.

The xx -- Crystalised (Star Guitar Drums Light Edit)

The first thing that shocked me when I was looking for this particular remix is the fact that there is about 100 remixes of this song floating around at the moment. The 2nd is that it's only had 74 plays. How is that possible, after listening to a good 20 odd remixes of Crystalised by The XX, this is easily the best.

Star Slinger - May I Walk With You?

Star Slinger, AKA Darren Williams, is hands down my favourite discovery of 2010 and a definite contender for musical supernova of 2011. He already has 1 album under his belt, another on the way and has done remixes for the likes of Deerhunter, Small Black and my faves, Alpine.

He creates music using samples from songs that he finds everywhere and this track, May I walk with you, was the song that made my ears fall deeply in love with this british wunderkind. The LP is great on long drives too, it's on high rotation in my car!

Namine - Spacific Ocean

Namine, AKA Darcy Bayliss, is in a new crop of Australian up & coming acts. His hypnotic rhythyms and smooth sampling is something that has been missing from our scene for a very long time. He has a very bright future ahead of him, given that he's still in his teens!

After a very average day I decided to listen to some pick me up music, which always comes in the shape of Ben Kweller. Ben is an extraordinary talent who has a knack for making music that not only appeals to the masses but also tells a story that the listener can relate to.

Fenech-Soler - Demons (Official Video)

Fenech Soler are one of my favourite breakthrough bands to come out of 2010. Their debut song Stop & Stare was one of the biggest songs to come out of last year, coupled with their lead singer teaming up with Groove Armada & Saintsaviour for the hit, Paper Romance, life must be pretty good for this british pop-tet who's album has been getting a lot of attention online.

This is their latest offering, Demons. It is funky, high energy and melodically pleasing not to mention the wicked clip that is mesmerising to watch.

Dead Prez - Hip Hop (Adam F & Fresh remix)

I only came across Dead Prez at the beginning of this year after 2 mates of mine who like hip hop convinced me to go & watch them play on their first ever tour of Australia. I wasn't disappointed.

Fast forward to 29th December on a packed dancefloor & FreQ Nasty drops this delightful bomb on the unsuspecting crowd - the dubstep remix of Hip Hop, arguably Dead Prez' most well known track.

Even if you're not into dubstep, this is a phat remix by Adam F & Fresh so go & have a listen, you just might like it!
