Wons Phreely is someone I discovered a while back through a random twitter link that someone sent me. Wons is an aussie singer/songwriter/1 man band who's music has so much energy that you can't help but tap your feet to it. Not only is his music great, but he is good looking & seems like a nice guy guy - what other artist would contact a fan to let them know that the word "Boogaloo" featured in an upcoming single from his new album?
His infectiously playful melodies coupled with his quirky lyrics play on in your head long after the song has ended & his new song, The World Has a Bank Account, is a prime example of this.
Wons has been around for a few years now and is a seasoned performer having supported the likes of Death Cab for Cutie & Ben Lee, but his music is just starting to catch on in the mainstream and I don't think that we've seen the best of him yet. The future is very bright for Wons Phreely.
